Welcome to Badwater. Now wander off.
There are few options in the Western paths to freedom. Careers, lifestyles, and acts of self-discovery, are rails that we've set up and have been stuck on for more than 2,000 years. All of choices and behaviors appear built from the same assumption: that one should get more recognition doing things that others like.
Western individualism turns out to be a competitive conformity. We use the same metrics as we've ever had (amount of influence/resources/power). Why are we surprised that we don't go anywhere different?
After removing the frilly bits from Human Design (HD), this system of functional knowledge serves as a database for the mechanical intricacies of a person from one moment to the next. You can check out some of these concepts below.
Above are the mechanical differences of behavior, whether a behavior is looking for recognition or actively avoiding it or anything in between. It's just an archetypal system of behavior.
Human Design describes the many ways people make decisions, manage their personal energy, and engage with others (whether in relationships or as professional connections).
I noticed how a typical gym rat defaults to barbells and dumbbells. This isn't because they're lazy, but because nobody showed them the rest of the equipment; all those potential tools that could genuinely spark their interest and serve their body correctly.
It was easier to just work out like everyone else does, because there's enough Youtube and Instagram content out there that makes you think that this is how it's done. HD shows pretty much all the equipment (I'll accept there are always unknown unknowns). And there's no pressure that you use this or that piece of equipment.
It only matters that you finally see there's more to choose from. And then you can form your own path without so much influence by other people's agendas.
This is a modified version of Human Design that gets into the practicalities of how people, including you, might work.
You might know your BodyGraph and Types and Profiles already. But as some practitioners have experienced, it can be so limiting to be hyper-fixated on what you're supposed to be. Look at those other Types, those other Profiles, those other Gates in this web of interconnections, because you might just enjoy how the other side operates.
And you might find a truly independent version of yourself.
