A community results from the mixing of two ingredients: First, a location to share, and most importantly, a story to enact. As simple as these two ingredients appear, mixing them doesn’t guarantee that community will arise. This is because human nature is dynamic and enacts several stories at once: Sometimes, a community’s story is sidelined in favor of a person’s personal story; other times, a group of people developed a story that conflicts with the community.
A person is not a machine, which is designed to enact a single story of the machine’s creator. Thus, community may oscillate in importance for the individual or group.
